2012 President Biden declines to run, defers to a last-minute Hillary candidacy.
Election of 2012 is a repeat of U.S. Election of 1824, in which no candidate receives the minimum number of electoral votes required to win the Electoral College threshold (270 votes).
There are so many candidates running for president that the vote is divided. In accordance with the U.S. Constituion, the presidential election is thrown into the House of Representatives.
Leading all candidates by one percentage point is Tea Party ticket Sarah Palin/Rand Paul. Romney trails by one point. In third place is Hillary. But the Republican-controlled House of Representatives splits the vote between Palin-Romney. Clinton/Clark wins the election and is immediately declared "illegitimate" by right-wing media.
2013: "Whiskey Rebellion" in Texas, in which entire towns attempt to secede. In accordance with George Washington's response to Whiskey Rebellions, Hillary tries to follow suit. Despite economic meltdown, dollar collapse, Clinton Administration secures a Mideast peace bargain between Israel-Palestinians. But it is not enough for the Tealiban domestically.
In wake of NSA coup plot uncovered, Hillary is accused of trying to stage a coup. Calling an emergency session of Congress, the GOP refuses to participate and stages a walkout.
During GOP walkout, on April 4, 2015, two alleged USAF F-16 "Al Qaeda sympathizer infiltrators" crash into Capitol Dome, White House. All national-level Democrats are exterminated. Hillary Clinton's remains are never found.
Sarah Palin is sworn-in as "Emergency President" by John Roberts at midnight in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Operation Falcon, a roundup of political dissidents, begins -- tens of thousands are taken to Nationals Stadium and tortured and given summary execution without trial. A purge of the military begins under guise of "weeding out Al Qaeda".
